Media Services can video record campus events at a charge of $8.00 per hour.
Campus Departments may pay charges through their departmental accounts, and an account number must be given to the Media Center before the requested event.
All requests to have an event video recorded must be made at least two weeks in advance to allow enough time to find and schedule a student assistant to record the event, as well as provide advance notice in the event that a videographer is unavailable. In those cases, we can setup a camcorder and tripod for the event, and provide training in the use of the equipment.
In compliance with the current copyright laws, any guest speaker(s) who appears for a campus event must signed a consent form allowing us to record them via video, and/or audio. Also, Media Services must receive a copy of the consent form before an event is video recorded.
